SURFING ON THE CAPE WHALE COAST

Hermanus Tourism Manager Nicky Currie started surfing 8 years ago in Muizenberg. Last year she decided to take up this sport again and was coached back to the water by local surfer Malan Bartleman. Whereas Muizenberg is a busy surf spot Nicky finds Voëlklip Beach just the place to practise her sport. Not too busy, not too quiet and rather JUST RIGHT.

The best about surfing? The laughs say Nicky. She found that surfing teaches you the necessity of starting over again after each fall.
