Forty x 40 Gallery

Situated in Warrington Lane (the ‘Art Alley’ on Harbour Road), Forty x 40 is a small gallery exhibiting the work of several Hermanus based artists as well as the home studio of painter Edward Bredenkamp.

Edward is best known for his iconic Red Elephant paintings and wildlife studies. He works primarily in oils but also produces a range of original lino prints. Edward can be found most days working in his studio.

In addition to Edward’s work, Forty x 40 also regularly showcases the work of talented husband and wife team, Lawrance and Catherine Brennon. Catherine’s beautiful Dream Boxes are in ceramic collections around the world while Lawrance’s spectacular photography captures the essence of South Africa’s dramatic landscapes.
