African Queen

With breathtaking views of the Klein River Mountains, this unforgettable Stanford river trip will be one of your life’s highlights. The Klein River itself, features more than 127 kinds of birds as well as a variety of salt & fresh water fish, including bass. Otter’s, terrapins and various other indigineous animals are also found here.

This is the perfect setting for social-cruises, birthday parties, wine tasting, year-end functions, weddings, booze cruises or any other memorable celebration. Whatever time of day you choose, this river will enthrall you.

We go down the river about 6-9 km’s,turn around and moor the boat somewhere quiet to the reeds and do a brunch, lunch or supper, while you swim in warm, clean mountain water. There are also some tubes with ropes on board for towing for the kids (and young at heart) behind the boat.

We supply the fire, braai utensils and braai grids. You need to bring your own picknick baskets with food, drinks, cutlery, croquery and swimming gear.

And don’t forget the sundowner cruise. There is no better way to end your day, than watching the sun slip behind the Mountains, seeing the beautiful trees reflected the water and listening to the birds singing for your enjoyment.

The African Queen is very safe with lifejackets on board. The African Queen comes equipped with two braais and eco-friendly toilet facilities. Your skipper Eric or Adriaan, has excellent knowledge of the river, birdlife and surroundings and will be able to share some interesting tales on some of the riparian’s en route.

The duration of the cruises is between 2.5 and 3 hours.

R100,00 p/person with a minimum of 15 persons to go out. We put groups together, so even if you are less than 15 people, give us a call and we will add you to the day trip.
