It is the first and last stop on the route up the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, giving wine lovers a one-stop indulgence in wine browsing and tasting in an atmosphere of serene bliss. At the entrance to the Hemel & Aarde valley in the beautiful town of Hermanus, inside the Hemel and Aarde Village, lies the Wine Village, the gem that is the result of a legendary journey that began with Harare expat Paul du Toit, and his wife Cathy, 21 years ago.

The Wine Village is truly a one stop wine experience where you will find efficient, knowledgeable and friendly
service. Instead of having to visit the individual vineyards, one can simply find all the best in South African wines, gins and brandies under the roof of the Wine Village, where wine lovers and connoisseurs enjoy, appraise and sample their
selection of quality wines that suite any palate and pocket. Here, award winning wines, gins and brandies can be enjoyed
at the tasting counter for both individuals and groups.

The Treasure

With over 3,000 labels of South African wines from nearly 800 South African wine producers, the Wine Village has an astounding library of quality wines to select from. “We stock co-operative, large corporations, small one man boutique wineries and
garagistes”. You will find only quality wines at the Wine Village as all wines must pass a staff panel tasting test.
Under no circumstance will wine be sold if they are not confident that their clients will be satisfied.” says Paul.
