An absolute pleasure to stay at 168, sixth street! Eureka and Theo are great hosts. Eureka was friendly from the onset and allowed us to check in early and check out later than usual with no hassle. Upon arrival, Eureka greeted us and gave us a thorough tour of the place inside and outside. She also told us what we could do in Hermanus as we were so close to the beaches and the city center. Eureka is very hospitable and remembered our names which is always a nice touch. We stayed in the twin room. The place itself was neat and clean. The shared kitchen and living area is small but sufficient with what you require. The kitchen has a mini fridge, microwave, kettle, two plate stove and toaster with plenty of crockery and cutlery. The decor is simple with colourful art displayed on the walls. It has a flat screen tv and cane furniture. The bathroom has a toilet, basin and shower. There are towels, toilet paper, hand wash, body wash and shampoo. The shower is spacious and I can confirm that I had a really good shower. The bedroom has twin beds pushed together for a double bed with ample cupboard space. There is also a private space in front where you can braai or just lounge on the chairs enjoying the beautiful lush garden. The place is attached to the main house but we never heard any noise and still felt private. We were able to walk down to the famous Grotto beach and follow the cliff path to experience the many other beaches and spectacular views. A short car drive took us to the city center. We left feeling refreshed and ready to tackle reality again. Would love to go back to see the whales.
